Ballet is the foundation of all good dancers, it gives strength, poise, turnout and it is easy to spot a dancer who has had ballet training against one who has not. Ballet is great for perpetuating style, grace, good posture and strength. It also teaches self-discipline and pride in appearance.
Tap is a good for promoting co-ordination, a sense of rhythm, syncopation and for strengthening and loosening foot, ankle and leg muscles. In Tap classes pupils learn and practice steps first and then progress onto learning routines of varying lengths and to many different styles of music.
IDTA MODERN JAZZ 6yrs + (Must attend ballet)
You will learn to develop many different movements reaching to a broad choice of varying rhythms and musical styles. Classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical strength and flexibility required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre. Modern explores contrast between expansion and relaxation or how to isolate in a slick stylish mood.
ACRODANCE 5 YRS+
The classes include a great deal of strength and conditioning exercises along with stretching to allow the children to perform the skills effectively and safely. Click on ‘Acrodance’ from drop down menu for more information.
POPDANCE 5yrs+ (waiting lists for all Popdance classes due to COVID restrictions on numbers)
Popdance is a fun & funky dance class for all abilities. Dance like your favourite pop stars. Not only will you learn some great dance moves and get to impress your friends but you'll also have LOADS of fun!
MUSICAL THEATRE 6yrs+ (currently unable to run due to COVID restrictions)
So you want to be a star? Or maybe you just want to have the moves and the fun of the stars. So join the Musical Theatre class. A perfect fusion of the three arts, Song, Drama and Dance.
This fun class will be great preparation for future performances. The spotlight is on you!
